About The Creator

Valentina Leardi is an Italian jewelry designer and creative director whose work centers on color and the expressive character of gemstones. Her connection to jewelry is rooted in family history. Her grandfather, Angelo Leardi, was a watchmaker and jeweler who owned a boutique in Milan from 1945 to 1963, where he trained her father, Maurizio, as a goldsmith and watchmaker.

Although Maurizio later followed a career that took him around the world, his passion for jewelry and watches remained constant and was passed down to Valentina. While the original Leardi boutique no longer exists, its spirit continues through a shared appreciation for craftsmanship, gemstones, and the culture of jewelry.

Influenced by travel, art, and a curiosity for unusual stones, she sources gemstones and builds designs around their individuality. Each jewel is conceived as a collectible object meant to be worn, cherished, and kept over time.

Valentina Leardi works internationally between Milan and Warsaw.

Design Philosophy

Valentina Leardi approaches jewelry as a language of color, symbol, and meaning. Inspired by synesthesia—where colors evoke sensations and emotions—each piece explores how gemstones can communicate identity and inner states. Color becomes more than an aesthetic choice; it becomes a way of expressing feeling, transformation, and personal narrative.

The vision of the brand is to introduce a new perspective on jewelry by developing new aesthetic codes around color and symbolism. Each jewel is conceived as a personal symbol, something that resonates with the wearer and reflects moments of change or self-expression. At the same time, these creations are imagined as lasting objects—pieces meant to be kept, cherished, and passed through generations. Through color, meaning, and thoughtful design, Valentina Leardi seeks to create jewels that carry both emotional depth and enduring value.

The Horse

The horse is a symbol that appears naturally in the world of Valentina Leardi. Horses embody movement, freedom, loyalty, and quiet strength — qualities that resonate with the spirit of the Maison.

The connection is also personal. The name Leardi refers to “leardo,” a term used in Italian equestrian language to describe a grey horse whose coat is formed by the subtle mixture of black and white hairs, often creating delicate natural patterns.

The first ring designed by Valentina featured a hoof-shaped obsidian with a horse’s head carved at its center. The symbol returned again in other ways, including her Chinese zodiac sign, the golden horse.

Over time, the horse became a natural emblem for the Maison — a symbol of instinct, movement, and character, much like the gemstones that inspire each design.
